Congratulations are pouring in for musician D-Cryme, who has officially been elected as the new SRC President of Methodist University Ghana (MUG).
In a victory message to his supporters, the “Kill Me Shy” hitmaker expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “This win is for us, by us. God bless you. God make MUG great.”
D-Cryme, who announced his candidacy on April 7, won the hearts of students with a forward-thinking vision anchored on inclusive leadership and actionable change on campus.
At 39, the musician is proving that it’s never too late to lead with passion and purpose.
Ahead of the elections, D-Cryme unveiled ten bold pillars to guide his leadership, including transparency and accountability, academic support and resources, as well as financial aid and scholarship initiatives.
His campaign framed the university not just as a place for learning, but as a vibrant community where ideas thrive and student voices are heard.
Reflecting on his journey, D-Cryme noted, “I’ve always believed in giving back. From initiating the Wall of Fame to honor dedicated lecturers, to the Digital Screen Project that improved campus communication, my mission has always been about inclusivity, innovation, and impact.”
With the election now behind him, attention shifts to how D-Cryme and his team will bring this vision to life.
