Veteran actress, Grace Omaboe known popularly as Maame Dokono has asked her colleagues to desist from crying on National Television for the support of people but rather channel their challenges to corporate bodies and individuals who are ready to help in private.
According to her, coming on National television to cry for help disgraces the old generation of actors and actresses and there was the need for her colleagues to put a stop to it.
Maame Dokono who has been an advocate for saving towards the future by the entertainers indicated that there are people who are willing to help and that actor and actresses of the older generation whose future has been turbulent should see such people in private for support rather than going live on television to weep for support.
She said “If people need help they should visit corporate bodies and individuals such as Despite and they will help them. They are willing to help so they should go to them. You can also channel your challenges to the President and he will find a way of getting it solved for you. I will not come and sit on national radio or tv and cry for support. I have young men I helped raised so I will just walk to them and they will help me. I’ve doctors, even Asamoah Gyan and his brother and Shatta Wale, tell people and they will help because coming to sit on national television to cry is a disgrace for us as actors and actresses,” she said.
