Highlife musician, Kwaisey Pee says it’s too premature to crown Kuami Eugene as king of highlife considering the period of time he has been in the industry.
To the musician, Kuami Eugene should be allowed to grow a little longer in the industry before hasty decisions are made.
“I wouldn’t say he deserves it or not but I feel it is too early. We should allow him to grow. He is a very good artiste so we should have allowed him to grow a little bit longer in the industry a least half a decade,” he emphasised.

“There are some things we just don’t do, we have to take our time and know when and how to do it. At least let’s monitor his consistency for five years, no one would have a problem with them giving him that award after that, but it’s been just a year and I don’t know how many albums he has to his credit,” he added.
