An Accra Circuit has remanded Charles Nana Kwaku Addai Donkor a.k.a Killer and Hayford Nana Denkyi, a.k.a soliderman in police custody for alleged possessing of firearms and ammunitions without authority.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty and would reappear on November 30, 2016.
Chief Inspector K. Adu told the court presided over by Aboagye Tandoh that based on information received, a combine team from National SWAT Unit from the National Police Headquarter and Alpha SWAT Unit Accra Regional Command on November 3 went to Amamoley, a suburb of Pokuase.
In the process the team arrested Charles in his room and when a search was conducted one AK 47 rifle, one SMG rifle, one locally made single barrel gun, one locally made pistol, one hundred and fifty-one live ammunitions.
The prosecution said other items retrieved from him are three face marks and other deadly implements.
The Prosecution said on interrogation, he mentioned Hayford as one, who led him to buy the AK 47 rifle from one Akwasi at Abossey Okai.
“The second accused was also arrested, the first accused also told the police that one Chanton of Joma-Accra sold the SMG rifle to him and 151 live ammunitions, he purchased from one ‘T.T’ at Abelemkpe- Accra.
