Court Injunctions have been part of our football; we shall address it – George Afriyie

Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie, has laid to rest, fears surrounding the inability for the Association to roll out the new season saying this is not the first time the association has been served with an injunction.
Great Olympics, late in the afternoon of yesterday, served the Ghana Football Association with an injunction halting the launch of the 2018 premier league season.
But a management member of premier league club, Liberty Professionals insists this is not the first time the Association has been faced with a fate like this so it will surmount it.
“This is not the first time we have been served with an injunction; we only need to change the system because this is something worrying our game”, George said.
Addressing the Association’s response to the injunction served them, George Afriyie revealed that they [the FA] contacted their lawyers immediately and in the days to come, the Association will respond after an Executive Committee meeting that will be convened soon.
“The Executive Committee will meet and deliberate on the way forward but such instances over the years have made it very difficult to attract sponsors and clearly StarTimes will be disappointed about yesterday’s instance”.
