The Diaso District Magistrate Court has adjourned the murder trial of 19-year-old Emmanuel Quansah for the third time.
Quansah is facing trial before the court, presided over by Her Worship Melissa Selorm Dadson, for the alleged murder of 62-year-old taxi driver Yaw Oduro.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Peter Sagare told the court that the crime allegedly took place in Ayanfuri, in the Upper West Denkyira District of the Central Region.
Oduro reportedly left for work on January 19 but never returned home. His body was buried on March 8, 2025, without being opened for viewing due to its state.
Following Wednesday’s court proceedings, Nana Kwabena Okyere, Asafoakye of Denkyira Akwamu, told Adom News that the family remains resolute in seeking justice.
“We are calling on the court to ensure that justice is served. We trust that the court will do the right thing and bring closure to our family,” he said.
