Award-winning sports broadcaster Patrick Osei-Agyemang has responded to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s pledge to construct six new stadiums in newly created regions if elected president.
During the manifesto launch for the National Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Western Region on Sunday, Dr Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer and current Vice President, promised to build these stadiums in the six new regions.
Additionally, he committed to enhancing pitch standards and providing Premier League clubs with new buses.
In reaction, Osei-Agyemang, who hosts Fire for Fire on Adom TV and Asempa FM, emphasized that Dr. Bawumia will be held accountable for his promises related to football.
He also suggested that instead of building six new stadia, building multipurpose stadia should be prioritized.
Furthermore, he urged that a knowledgeable and experienced individual be appointed as Sports Minister to effectively manage the country’s sporting facilities should Dr Bawumia win the upcoming general elections.
