Consider our request to contest 2020 polls – NDC Chairmen to Mahama

-

Regional Chairmen of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have called on the former President John Dramani Mahama to consider the request of the teeming supporters of the party to contest 2020 elections.
The ten regional chairmen also asked Mr Mahama to as a matter of urgency embark on a ‘Thank you’ tour across the country by expressing his appreciation to NDC members for supporting him during his tenure over the years.
Some members of NDC have been rooting for the return of the former President who was defeated by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the 2016 general elections.
A statement signed by the various chairmen of the party said the recommendation was made known to Mr Mahama during a meeting held on Thursday November 9, 2017 in Accra.
Some of the NDC regional chairmen who signed the petition include; Greater Accra Ade Coker, Central region Allotey Jacobs, Ashanti region Yaw Obimpeh, Eastern Region Tawiah Boateng, Western region Michael Aidoo, Brong Ahafo region Opoku Atuahene among others.
