Confusion rocks political parties at EC’s office over balloting ball

-

Confusion marred the balloting process at the Electoral Commission’s (EC) office for the 2024 election presidential candidates on Friday.

The confusion was over a balloting ball which the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Director of IT and Elections, Dr Edward Omane Boamah raised concerns about.

This was after the EC officials conducted the first phase of the process, which was to determine the sequence in which the parties would pick their ballot slots.

As the process was set to commence, Dr Boamah raised concerns that one of the balls had a unique feature that could compromise the integrity of the process.

But the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Director of Research and Elections, Evans Nimako expressed his disagreement.

After over 30 minutes of argument, the EC officials replaced the ball, which had become a subject of controversy.
