Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Steve Pollack, says he feels “massive disappointment” as his side failed to qualify to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors were bundled out of the competition by Club Athlétique Rennaissance de Aiglon (CARA) in Congo on Wednesday.
A 7-6 penalty loss to the Congolese side saw Kotoko crash out of the CAF inter-club competition.
“We are very disappointed that we couldn’t get through to the second round”, he told Joy Sports.
“We could have done better yesterday than we did”.
“Our best wasn’t good enough yesterday”.
“However I know my players are capable and together we will make the fans proud in the upcoming league season”, he added.
Asante Kotoko will now focus on the Premier League which is set to kick-start on March 2, 2018.
