Concerned Hearts Foundation, an NGO, has donated assorted items and braille machines worth over GH₵8,500 to the Akropong School for the Blind.
This is to help the school meet some of its daily needs after the foundation promised to buy Braille for one visually impaired student.
The gesture was also part of the Foundation’s social responsibility.
The founder of the foundation, Justine Naa Gborsi, said everyone, including those who are not visually impaired, have some forms of disabilities, it should not limit them from achieving their goals as what is needed is the resources required to achieve them.
She added that the equipment will go a long way in aiding blind children. She said each braille machine costs GHC 6,000.
Headmistress of Akropong School for the Blind, Mrs. Marhella Narh also said they are very happy because of what the CHF has done.
“Blind students have lacked these equipment but today they have them,” she said.
