Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, President of the National House of Chiefs, has praised the government for the inauguration of the Royal Ghana Gold Refinery.

He described the commissioning as a pivotal moment in Ghana’s journey toward economic independence and industrial progress.

In his remarks during the event on Thursday, August 8, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II highlighted the significance of the state-of-the-art facility, which has the capacity to refine up to 400 kilograms of gold per day.

He emphasised that this development not only sets a historic precedent but also charts a new course for Ghana’s economic future.

The President of the National House of Chiefs expressed his admiration for the government’s efforts in establishing the refinery.

He urged Ghanaians to embrace this milestone with enthusiasm and a collective spirit of determination.

The venerable chief further called on citizens to collaborate in making the Royal Ghana Gold Refinery a model of excellence.

Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II underscored the importance of this venture as a testament to Ghana’s ability to refine and effectively manage its own resources.

“It is with immense excitement and pride that I stand before you today to mark the commissioning of the Royal Ghana Gold Refinery, a groundbreaking milestone in our nation’s journey towards economic independence and industrial transformation.”

“Today, we witness the dawn of a new era for Ghana. With the commissioning of the first London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Good Delivery Bar Certification focused State of the Art Gold Bullion Refinery, boasting a remarkable capacity of 400 kilograms per day, we are not only making history but also redefining our future. This facility represents our resolve to take our destiny into our own hands and refine our precious natural resources right here in Ghana” he added.
