Comedienne has message for Ghanaians on comedy

Popular Ghanaian-Nigerian comedienne, Jacinta Ocansey, has expressed disappointment at people who have described her and other Ghanaian comedians as lacking humour.

“You cannot just watch one show of a person and then conclude that they are not funny,” she said on the Prime Morning show on Joy Prime.

Heiress Jacinta, as she is known on stage said “even top comedians like Kevin Hart who made a joke about LGBT and received some backlash for it does not mean he is not funny [sic].”

The comedienne said the complains that Ghanaian comedians are not funny, as compared to international acts, are too much.

Jacinta asked Ghanaians to rather support and promote the comedians in the country  rather than bring them down.

She also revealed her current plans of staging a one-man show in Ghana in the shortest possible time.
