National Circles Chairman for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kweku Amponsah known in football circles as ‘Chairman K5′, has called on supporters of the club to throng to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to support their team in their preliminary game against Congolese side Club Athlétique Renaissance Aiglon (CARA).
Kotoko launched ‘operation fill the stadium’ campaign to create an intimidating atmosphere when the club hosts CARA Club in their CAF Confederations Cup clash on Sunday, 11th February.
In an interview on the midweek edition of Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, the outspoken Chairman said” I want all Kotoko fans to come to the Baba Yara stadium and cheer the team on. I believe the players can win with their support”.
“I don’t want the fans to access the team based on their G8 performance. They should all come and watch a different Kotoko come Sunday”, he added.
The club has made arrangement for buses to convey their supporters to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, free of charge.
