The General Secretary of the Food & Beverage Association of Ghana (FABAG), Samuel Ato Aggrey has called on politicians to use their campaign periods to seek broader consultations in making policy decisions.
According to him, presidential aspirants should come directly to the Association with an elaborate plan on how they will improve their current situation.
The General Secretary speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, urged Ghanaians to be alert and hold politicians accountable for their “fake promises” ahead of this year’s general elections.
“So far, Bawumia and Mahama are going about campaigning and are saying many things. But they should come directly to us and tell us what they would do to improve the situation we are currently in so that we can hold them accountable when they are in power. Going round and speaking doesn’t amount to anything. They always say things that they won’t do. All of us must be wide awake and hold politicians accountable and kick them out when they can’t deliver,” he said.
