Hundreds of Ghanaians gathered at the forecourt of the State House in Accra to pay their
last respect to legendary coach, Sam Arday.
The body of the veteran coach was interred at the Osu cemetery after the burial ceremony which was attended by several lovers of the game including ex-President Jerry John Rawlings, Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah and GFA vice president, George Afriyie.
Other key political figures, current and former footballers and some coaches also attended the funeral to bid farewell to the ‘multi-system’ man.
Coach Arday until his unfortunate demise was the technical director of premier league side WAFA.
He also coached the Black Stars on two occasions – from 1996 to 1997, and again in 2004.
