Coach Henry Wellington not sacked – Kwame Opare Addo

-

Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, has denied rumours that they are on the verge of sacking Coach Henry Wellington from the club.
A group of supporters led by the club’s National Chapters organizer, Paa Kofi Sumsum, called on  management to sack Henry Wellington following the team’s poor start to the Ghana Premier League campaign.
But according to the club’s communication director, Coach Wellington is on top of the job and management believes in him.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Mr. Opare Addo said, “Hearts of Oak will be without head coach Henry Wellington for their clash against Karela FC based on medical advice.”
“Wellington has not been sacked, he will join the team when he is fit, that I can confirm.”
“One thing we must know is that even if we bring Sir Alex Ferguson and we don’t support him there is no way he can survive”, he added.
Accra Hearts of Oak have won three, lost three and drawn once in seven games.
