The Club Licensing Department of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved five venues following its latest re-inspection ahead of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) restart.
The approved venues are TNA Stadium, Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Dun’s Park in Bibiani, Nsekyire Sports Arena, and Kpando Sports Stadium.
These venues meet the required standards for hosting Premier League matches, ensuring a fair playing field and adequate safety measures.
Meanwhile, Nii Adjei Kraku Park, Tuba Astro Turf, Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, and Nana Agyemang Badu Park have been granted conditional approval pending further improvements.
The Baba Yara Stadium, home to Asante Kotoko, and Legon Stadium, which temporarily hosts Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities, must address safety concerns before their next official fixture.
However, Wenchi Sports Stadium, Ampanian Arena, and Berekum Golden City Park have been deemed unfit due to technical and security issues. These venues require urgent repairs and renovations before they can be reconsidered for approval.
The next round of inspections is scheduled for March 9, while the Ghana Premier League is set to resume on March 7.
