Clergy pray for Nkwanta South MCE as he begins tenure

In a symbolic display of faith and unity, clergy from various denominations in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region gathered to offer prayers and blessings for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Joseph Antwi Awal, as he begins his tenure.

The prayer session, held at the Municipal Assembly, was marked by appeals for peace, unity, and divine guidance to steer the municipality toward development and stability.

The religious leaders acknowledged the challenges that come with leadership but expressed confidence that with collective support and spiritual direction, positive transformation is achievable.

“You are our hope,” said Rev. Father Prosper, who urged the MCE to prioritize peace-building, especially in light of ongoing tensions in the area. He stressed that a peaceful atmosphere is essential for the growth and progress of Nkwanta South.

The clergy pledged their full support for Mr. Awal, describing him as a symbol of the municipality’s hopes and aspirations.

In his remarks, MCE Joseph Antwi Awal expressed deep appreciation for the spiritual backing and acknowledged the weight of responsibility placed on his shoulders.

“I am committed to ensuring that every voice is heard and that we work together for the common good,” he assured, highlighting the importance of dialogue, inclusivity, and cooperation in addressing the municipality’s challenges.

He also called on assembly staff and stakeholders to rally behind his development agenda, vowing to push forward initiatives aimed at resetting and transforming Nkwanta South for the better.
