Choosing leaders from different parties bring dev’t – Chief

The Mankrado of Battor traditional area in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region, Togbe Borbordzi VII, has stated that alternating leaders from different political parties foster development rather than voting constantly for one political party.

Speaking about this year’s election, Togbe Borbordzi suggested that changing political leaders from different political parties usually bring development rather than sticking to leaders from one party.

“We shouldn’t follow one person forever; we should be able to change our style. Especially, I love Hohoe, the way they are at the center, it means that in the Hohoe area, any party that will mess up will be left out”.

He emphasized that “I think it is a good move”.

The chief was speaking at a press briefing to deliberate on the Akosompo and Kpong dams’ spillage disaster in the district a year on.

He urged the next leader of the country to normalize the country’s industrialization through tax exemptions, good export and import policies, and other key areas for nation-building.
