Check out NDC’s activity line-up ahead of President-elect Mahama’s inauguration

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially announced a comprehensive schedule of activities ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect John Dramani Mahama on January 7, 2025.

The party aims to celebrate its historic victory in the 2024 general elections while ensuring unity and coordination across all constituencies.

In a statement issued by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC), the NDC extended heartfelt congratulations to regional and constituency executives, as well as party members, for their tireless efforts that contributed to the resounding victory.

The statement described the win as a testament to the party’s collective resolve to deliver progress and prosperity to Ghana.

Activity Schedule
The schedule outlines six major activities leading up to the presidential inauguration:

  1. Victory Celebrations will be held nationwide to commemorate the party’s electoral triumph on January 4-6, 2025.
  2. Victory Walk on January 4, 2025 where supporters will gather in Accra for a celebratory walk.
  3. Ghana Victory Concert on January 5, 2025 at the Forecourt of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
  4. Presidential Inauguration (January 7, 2025). The main event will take place at Independence Square, Accra, where John Dramani Mahama will be sworn in as President.
  5. National Muslim Thanksgiving on January 10, 2025 at the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra, and all mosques nationwide.
  6. National Christian Thanksgiving Service on January 12, 2025. The final event will take place at Independence Square, Accra, to express gratitude for the party’s victory.

The NDC’s FEC urged all party members to ensure full participation and coordination for the successful execution of these activities.
