A nostalgic throwback photo of Okyeame Kwame and Okyeame Quophi, taken in 1992/93, has surfaced, rekindling fond memories of the duo’s early days in music.
The picture, taken at the Kumasi City Hotel, shows them in their early twenties, just as they were beginning their career as a dynamic music duo known as Akyeame.
In the photo, the two can be seen looking dapper in oversized suits, a testament to the journey they embarked on before eventually pursuing solo careers.
Okyeame Kwame humorously captioned the photo, “Let’s all shout and say God has been good to us! But truth be told, I have been guy for a long time ooooo.”
Though Akyeame disbanded years later, the friendship between the two has remained strong.
While Okyeame Kwame continues to actively pursue his music career, Okyeame Quophi has transitioned into the media world, becoming a prominent figure in the industry.
