The Black Galaxies of Ghana have embarked on a trip to Togo to fine-tune preparations for their upcoming CHAN qualifiers against Nigeria.
A contingent comprising 25 players and the technical team departed Ghana on Tuesday morning. While in Togo, the team is set to participate in a series of friendly matches to sharpen their skills before facing Nigeria.
Under the guidance of coach Didi Dramani, the Black Galaxies recently secured consecutive victories in preparatory games against Nania FC and Northern City at the GFA Technical Centre over the weekend.
Ghana is slated to host Nigeria in Accra for the first leg of the qualifiers between December 20 and 23, 2024. The second leg will take place in Abuja shortly afterwards.
Nigeria, notably absent from the last two editions of the continental tournament, will be eager to make a return.
Ghana, on the other hand, triumphed over Nigeria in a dramatic penalty shootout to secure qualification for the previous CHAN tournament.
The winner of the two-legged encounter will earn a spot in the CHAN 2024 tournament, scheduled to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania next year.
