The Chief of Defense Staff, Obed Akwa has warned recalcitrant nomadic herdsmen that any further attacks on security personnel and residents of Agogo in the Ashanti region will be met with the might of a 200 police and military team.
The CDS who is in Agogo on a fact-finding mission to assess the evacuation of the herdsmen in the area said the joint military and police team will go to all lengths to protect citizens from unwarranted attacks by the herdsmen.
The team has been deployed to flush out nomadic herdsmen and their cattle from the area.

This follows the shooting of four officers in the area last week.
Chief of Defense Staff, Obed Akwa, addressing traditional leaders at Agogo said the joint military and police force are acting on the orders of government thus any herdsman who flouts their order will be punished.
Meanwhile, Hundreds of herdsmen and their cattle are voluntarily leaving the Agogo area of the Ashanti Region as police and military reinforcement begins work.
