The President of the Creative Arts Council further disclosed that when Pope was an up and coming artiste, he wanted to produce him at a time due to his rap prowess but unfortunately Pope didn’t believe in his style of music then.

“I even wanted to produce him at a point in time. He is a very good rapper. He has deep songs but gets carried away with the trend. He always wants to follow the Shatta and he doesn’t want to be himself. He has talent so he should carve some niche and be a master and people will compete with you on that …”

Mark cited Pope Skinny’s verse on Okomfour Kwadee’s “Obaa No” song as one of his raps that stood tall in the music industry.

“He is a good rapper if you know his repertoire. He has very good songs but he doesn’t believe in those songs…” Mark said.
