Cape Coast stadium is bad venue for Hearts – Paa Kofi Sunsum

National Chapter Committee organizer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Paa Kofi Sunsum has called on management of the club to reconsider the club’s adopted home grounds given the club’s inconsistent performances at the Cape Coast stadium
Hearts of Oak lost their second game at home to Elmina Sharks last Saturday after losing woefully to AshantiGold in Week Two of the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League and this Paa Kofi blames on the venue.
According to the NCCE executive, Hearts of Oak rushed in to the season forgetting to undergo the usual preseason prayers and also rushed in settling on an alternative home venue which is the result of their woes.
“Fans are not happy with the current happenings in the club and the team’s performance is not the best. We need to reconsider the decision to play at Cape Coast and come down south to the Tema Stadium or Karl Reindolf”, Paa Kofi said.
Also as a fan of the club, Paa Kofi explained, Management needed a better venue for corporate image hence settling on the Cape Coast Stadium but they needed to think through that decision because it is not helping the productivity of the team.
“We are not happy as fans and management should be careful, else, they incur the wrath of the many fans that are not happy”, he added.
He further added that the technical team is very weak and needs to be boosted and given the needed support or be changed totally.
Hearts of Oak will travel to play new entrants, Karela FC at the Anyinase Cam Park on Wednesday.
