Cape Coast North Member of Parliament, Kwamena Minta Nyarku has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate, Horace Ekow Ewusi of damaging his campaign billboards and posters.

According to him, the former NPP Central Regional Vice-Chairman will do just anything for  power.

Dr Nyarku, who is the incumbent MP is also the National Democratic Congress (NDC) PC for the December 7 election.

In what has turned out to be a peaceful electioneering activities, Ragga as he is popularly called said he was shocked when he discovered his 16 billboards and 25,000 posters across the constituency have been destroyed.

“When the incident happened on Tuesday, I tried to reach him but it couldn’t go through. It was later in the day on Wednesday, he called me. To me, I see this as a retaliation because he told me NDC supporters sometime ago destroyed his materials but he didn’t complain,” he stated.

But in an interview on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem, Thursday, Ragga said he will not be surprised that his contender destroyed his own posters and billboards to court sympathy.

“Ekow can do that easily because he knows the ground is not favourable but there are past events which show he is capable of anything,” he stated.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that, Mr Ewusi’s campaign materials have also been destroyed by unknown persons.
