The Public Relations Officer for the Northern regional Ghana Police Command DSP Yussif Tanko has disclosed calm has been restored in Bole after the first day of curfew.
The Interior Ministry imposed a dusk to dawn curfew on Bole in the Northern Region following chieftaincy-related violence in the area which led to the death of two people on Sunday.

“School children are back to the classroom, workers to the office with farmers, traders and all other jobs moving on smoothly in Bole due to the presence of military and police personnel,” he explained.
He added that the curfew was necessary because people could have perpetrated evil in the course of the night.
DSP Tanko said investigations have been launched into the case to fish out the direct individuals who are behind the violence.
