CAF Confed. Cup: Yaw Preko confident ahead of Elect Sport clash

-

Nsoatreman FC head coach, Yaw Preko, has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness to face Elect-Sport FC in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghana FA Cup champions are set to host the Chadian side in the first leg of the preliminary round at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 18, with the return leg scheduled to take place in Cameroon.

Ahead of the match, Coach Preko, who has previously managed Medeama SC and Great Olympics, assured fans of the team’s preparedness.

“I wanted to wake my players up, to make them feel the urgency and determination needed for this competition. That’s why I put them through their paces in the Nsenkyire Cup,” Preko explained.

The coach believes that after a week of intensive training following the Nsenkyire Cup, the team is now in good shape.

“After the Nsenkyire Cup, we’ve had a solid week of training, and I can see the players are gelling well. I have a clear strategy for Sunday’s match, and I’m confident we’re ready for the CAF Confederation Cup opener,” he said.

When asked about following in the footsteps of Dreams FC and Medeama, who have achieved success in the competition, Preko emphasized a calm, step-by-step approach.

“I’m not going to put too much pressure on the boys. We’ll take it one game at a time,” he added.

Should Nsoatreman FC overcome Elect Sport FC, they will face either Police FC from Rwanda or CS Constantine from Algeria in the next round.
