Nsoatreman FC coach, Yaw Preko, insists that his team will not underestimate Elect Sport ahead of the return leg in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
The Ghana FA Cup champions secured an impressive 3-0 victory against the Chadian side in the first leg, held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Goals from Abdul Rahman and Kwabena Adu Meider led Nsoatreman FC to a comfortable win.
In a post-match interview, Yaw Preko emphasized that his team will remain vigilant in the second leg, scheduled for this weekend.
“Elect Sport is a seasoned team with significant experience in African competitions, unlike us. We are newcomers and cannot afford to take such a team lightly in the return leg. The job is not done yet, so we must stay focused,” Preko stated.
The second-leg match will take place at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium on August 24, 2024.
The winner of this tie will advance to face either SC Constantine from Algeria or Police FC from Rwanda in the second round of the preliminary stage.
