President of FC Samartex, Dr Richard Nsenkyire, confidently declared that his team has the capability to compete with Raja Casablanca ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League match.
This statement follows a 2-2 draw in the first leg held at Accra Sports Stadium.
As the Timber Giants prepare for the second leg at Stade Larbi Zaouli, Dr. Nsenkyire remains optimistic of their quality ahead of the game.
“We have the quality to match against Raja Casablanca,” he told Asempa FM.
“We know Raja and the quality they have in continental football but this is Samartex and I know that we have the quality to match them.
He emphasized that FC Samartex aims to challenge the notion that Ghanaian clubs struggle in North Africa.
“We will prove to them that Ghanaian clubs don’t often perform in North Africa but with our quality, we will match them and win,” he added.
Samartex will conduct their final training session today in preparation for the match scheduled for Saturday, September 21, with kickoff set for 19:00 GMT.
