President of FC Samartex, Dr Richard Nsenkyire, has expressed optimism as his side face Raja Club Athletic in the CAF Champions League.
The reigning Ghana Premier League champions will play the return leg of the preliminary round at Stade Larbi Zaouli.
After a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Accra Sports Stadium, Dr. Nsenkyre emphasized the team’s commitment to advancing to the group stage.
“We came here to win to get qualification to the group stage of the competition,” he told Asempa FM‘s Ultimate Sports Show.
“It is just a game that we have to go and win. The players are determined to make history for themselves and the club, and I know that with this determination, we will make Ghanaians proud,” he added.
FC Samartex is set to conduct their final training session today in preparation for the match, which is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, with kickoff at 19:00 GMT.
This marks the club’s first attempt to reach the group stage in their debut appearance in the tournament.
