FC Samartex deputy captain, Ebenezer Acquah, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a positive result against Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
The Ghana Premier League champions will face Raja in the second leg of their preliminary round clash after a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking on the club’s website, Acquah emphasized the players’ commitment and determination ahead of the match this weekend.
“It’s obvious that we have a challenging task ahead of us, but we are fully committed to putting forth every effort and utilizing all our resources throughout the entirety of the game to ensure the best possible outcome,” he told the club website.
Centre forward, Emmanuel Mamah, acknowledging their status as underdogs, remains optimistic about the upcoming fixture.
“We’re feeling very optimistic about the upcoming second leg of the fixture, despite still being considered the underdog,” he said.
“There’s absolutely no pressure on us, which allows us to play with a sense of freedom and confidence. Our main objective is to build on the strong performance we showcased last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium,” he added.
FC Samartex is set to train at Stade Larbi Zaouli on Friday before the match on Saturday, September 21, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
