CAF Champions League: Kotoko plot against Kano Pillars of Nigeria

-

Asante Kotoko management member, Edmund Ackah, is confident the club will reach the group stage of this year’s Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports show, the representative of the porcupine warriors assured fans and the general public that Kotoko are more than ready to face the Nigerian side in August and probably win the tournament.

“We are still preparing for the match; the way training has been, we are definite that we will beat Kano Pillars and reach our target, that is the group stage,” he assured.

Mr Ackah further said the club had made plans and strategies that would strengthen the squad with or without their goal poacher, Songne Yacouba.

According to him, the club has not neglected the star player and that they are just waiting for a good offer to offload him.

The Porcupine Warriors have been drawn against Kano Pillars of Nigeria in the preliminary round of the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League.
