Head coach of the senior national football team, C.K. Akonnor, has traveled to Belgium where he witnessed the training session of the club.
The 45-year-old is in Europe monitoring players ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March and the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers slated for October 5.
Coach Akonnor met Anderlecht player-manager, Vincent Kompany.
The former Kotoko and Dreams trainer spent time with youngsters Francis Amuzu, Jeremy Doku and Elisha Owusu who are eligible to play for the national team.
He has been in England to meet up with a number of Ghanaian internationals playing in the various divisions.
Coach Akonnor met the Ayew brothers as well as Crystal Palace player, Jeff Schlupp earlier in the year.
He also watched Christian Atsu play in Newcastle’s FA Cup Replay against Oxford before dropping in on Daniel Amartey at Leicester.
It is, as yet, unclear where coach Akonnor will be heading next.
