Ghanaian artiste and radio presenter, Nana Yaw Oduro known in showbiz circles as Trigmatic has revealed the inspiration behind his hit song titled ‘Nobody Knows Tomorrow’.
The rapper told Lexis Bill on Drivetime on Joy 99.7 FM that he wrote the song which topped music charts due to his frustration which was born out of financial challenges.
“I have been broke. It was in the phase where you heard songs like Nobody Knows Tomorrow.
“I wrote that song when I was underground and nothing was really happening. Sometimes you have great ideas but people don’t see it because you have no money to back it”, he said.
The ‘My Jolley’ hit maker continued that during this period, he did a lot of crazy things such as walking from work to his home.
He added that there was times he felt like giving up entirely due to the frustration he was going through.
“I’ve gone hungry, there were times where I’ve walked from Trust towers to Circle, from Circle to Dansoman; and I do that every Saturday. There have been times you have to eat what you are not supposed to eat”.
The 2011 Best Rapper of the year winner at the VGMAs says he is currently into Rice farming and wishes to go into Pepper cultivation soon.
He has also picked other laurels such as Record of the Year at the 2014 edition of the VGMAs, Best Dancehall Song of the year (BASS Awards 2014) and Best Special Effect Video (4Syte Music Video Awards 2013).
