Gospel musician Broda Sammy, popularly known as the Nation’s Worshipper, has thrown his support behind the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming elections by composing a campaign song, ‘Steer’.
In the Steer song, Broda Sammy highlights Dr. Bawumia’s achievements as Vice President during his two terms in office, urging Ghanaians to vote for him as the next president.
The song also features mentions of key NPP figures, including President Nana Akufo-Addo, Egyapa Mercer, Mark Okraku-Mantey, and Henry Quartey among others.
Speaking on UTV over the weekend, Broda Sammy revealed that he was approached by a major political party to compose and endorse their campaign ahead of the elections.
He expressed his gratitude to the NPP for giving him the opportunity, stating that he was thrilled to be part of their campaign effort.
With this endorsement, Broda Sammy joins a growing list of public figures such as Samini, lending their voices to political campaigns as the December 2024 elections draw closer.
