Bolga All Stars eye GPL survival

-

Bolga All Stars spokesperson, Nelson Abagna, believes that the team is capable of surviving relegation from the Ghana Premier League despite a tough first round.

The team’s record stood at two wins, four draws and nine defeats and they scored twelve goals in matches played. They recorded only two home wins but failed to find a win on the road together with Ebusua Dwarfs, Inter Allies, Elmina Sharks, Tema Youth and Liberty Professionals, and AshantiGold.

However, Abagna believes that the debutants are capable of staying in the league but they will seek to be patient in their approach.

“We will take it one match at a time. We are not oblivious of the fact that it will be a tough second half of the season. The majority of teams will be jostling for points but we believe we can make something of the seven home matches we have in the second round.

In addition, we we can get some points away from home.We have spoken to the players and they are confident. The start to the league was not good for us but we have put that behind us.” The second round of the Ghana Premier League starts on May 28.
