-

Traditional authorities in Sehwi Bodi, Western North Region, have urged the government to expedite the completion of the Agenda 111 hospital project in the Bodi District.

The appeal was made during a familiarization visit by the Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, to the chiefs and elders of Sehwi Bodi.

During a meeting at the Sehwi Bodi Palace, Nana Gyasehene Yaw Amoah, speaking on behalf of the chiefs, expressed concerns over the delayed progress of the hospital project.

He emphasized that the facility is essential for improving healthcare access in the district and lamented the stalled construction, which has left residents frustrated.

He stressed that the completion of the hospital would reduce the burden of long-distance travel for medical care and cater to the growing population in the district.

In response, Regional Minister Wilbert Petty Brentum assured the chiefs that the government remains committed to the successful completion of all development projects in the region.

He pledged to follow up on the hospital’s status and take the necessary steps to ensure its timely completion.

The minister also commended the traditional leaders for their role in maintaining peace and unity, stating that such efforts are crucial for the smooth execution of development initiatives in the area.
