Black Stars technical team must be improved – Dr Richard Nsenkyire

-

FC Samartex owner, Dr. Richard Duah Nsenkyire, has appealed to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to strengthen the technical team of the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Black Stars’ performance during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier raised concerns, as they finished bottom of Group F with three points after securing just three draws and three defeats in six matches.

With the 2026 World Cup qualifiers approaching in 2025, Dr Nsenkyire stressed the importance of strengthening the technical team.

He suggested that, if the appointment of a technical director could benefit the team, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should seriously consider it.

“If the Black Stars technical team can improve, we have to do that,” he said on Asempa FM‘s Ultimate Sports Show.

“We have used the same people throughout the AFCON qualifiers and they have failed, so I believe that they must be improved and during the World Cup qualifiers, if the service of a technical director is needed to help the technical team, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should do it,” he added.

Ghana is set to face Chad and Madagascar in the upcoming Matchday five and six fixtures in March 2025.
