Black Stars coach, Otto Addo remains confident that his team can overcome any opponent if they bring more passion to their performance.
His comments come after Ghana’s senior national team failed to secure a win in their opening two games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Ghana suffered a surprising 1-0 loss to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium, followed by a 1-1 draw with Niger in Berkane.
Speaking in a post-match interview after watching Legon Cities lose 1-0 to Medeama Sporting Club, Addo expressed disappointment with the Black Stars’ lack of intensity and promised to make improvements ahead of their upcoming matches.
“My message to the fans is… I want us to show a different picture than the last match,” he said.
“I think there was no passion on the pitch and it’s my responsibility and I have to make sure they show it on the pitch and if we show this we can win against every team,” he added.
The Black Stars now face a crucial doubleheader against Sudan in the third and fourth matchdays of the Group F qualifiers, with both games being must-win.
