Black Queens midfielder Josephine Afua Kyerewaa Bonsu is confident about the team’s prospects, believing they have the potential to achieve great success.
The German-born midfielder recently earned her first call-up to the national team ahead of their friendly match against Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses.
Following her first training session with the squad, the 25-year-old Carl Zeiss Jena player expressed her excitement.
“I’m beyond grateful for being selected to the squad… The ladies, the Queens, made it really easy on me. They took me like family,” she said.
Bonsu is eager to contribute her unique playing style, stating, “I think we can really do a lot… I hope that I can bring my own style of playing football abroad.”
She also praised the team’s chemistry and energy levels ahead of their upcoming match.
“I feel the energy here is crazy… Everybody is so hyped… I think with this team we can achieve something great.”
The Black Queens will face AS FAR Rabat three days after their match against the Atlas Lionesses.
