Berimaba Yusif Abubakari, a reporter of local radio station, After 2 FM, reports that fear-stricken residents are trooping to the place to catch a glimpse of the birds.
According to him, the town’s folks believe that the junction known as Bechem Nkwanta is a spot where witches meet to plot their evil deeds.
The strange birds which literally shook the foundations of the town and drew a large crowd to the place saw the elders racking their brains and consulting a deity of the town for answers.

Berimaba added that the chiefs are treating the issue as a spiritual one and have called for a meeting of traditionalists to look into the matter.
Meanwhile, some youth of the town are angry, describing the happenings as the handiworks of some fake pastors who want cheap popularity.
“A pastor yesterday claimed some witches will be meeting at that junction to stop them so I suspect he is behind this unfortunate incident just to bring the name of Bechem into disrepute”, a resident asserted.
