Bibiani GoldStars have climbed back to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table after securing a 2-1 victory over Heart of Lions in an outstanding Matchday 21 fixture.

Playing at home at DUN’s Park on Tuesday, GoldStars wasted no time asserting their dominance. Samuel Attah Kumi opened the scoring in the 15th minute, giving the hosts an early advantage.

GoldStars continued to press, and just before halftime, they were awarded a penalty. Gideon Anaba confidently stepped up and converted from the spot, doubling their lead.

Heart of Lions fought back in the second half, with Nana Oppong pulling one back in the 61st minute.

However, despite their efforts, they couldn’t find an equalizer, as GoldStars held on for the crucial win.

The victory moves Bibiani GoldStars to the top of the table with 44 points, while Heart of Lions remain third with 40 points.

GoldStars will now turn their attention to their upcoming clash against Dreams FC at the Tuba Astroturf, while Heart of Lions prepare to host Asante Kotoko at the Kpando Sports Stadium this weekend.
