BET Awards 2021: Burna Boy, Diamond Platnumz & Wizkid nominated, Ghana snubbed [Video]

-

BET has finally released the list of nominees for this year’s award ceremony and two of Africa’s A-list musicians Burna Boy and Wizkid were nominated for the Best International Act category.

No musician from Ghana made it to the list after many were hopeful because music stars from the West-African country produced many dope songs over the calendar.

Music stars, who made it to the ‘Best International Act’ category, were; Aya Nakamura (France), Burna Boy (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (Uk), Wizkid (Nigeria), Young T & Bugsey (Uk), Youssoupha (France).

Additionally, Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby are the top nominees for the 2021 BET Awards, with seven nods each.
