In recognition of their dedication and hard work, 19 pre-tertiary school teachers in the Berekum East Municipality have been honored by Nelson Kyeremeh, the Member of Parliament for Berekum East Constituency.
The awards, presented as part of the MP’s efforts to celebrate teachers, included items such as televisions, refrigerators, and cash prizes.
Speaking at the event, Nelson Kyeremeh praised the teachers for their selfless commitment to shaping the future of the children in the municipality.
He emphasized that their tireless efforts in educating the youth inspire him to support and celebrate them. Kyeremeh encouraged the teachers to continue giving their best for the benefit of their students and the community at large.
The Bono Regional Director of Education, Gabriel Antwi, also commended the teachers for their dedication to improving education in the region.
However, he urged the few whose actions tarnish the reputation of the profession to change their ways and uphold the integrity of teaching.
Abraham Obeng, the overall best teacher, expressed his gratitude on behalf of his colleagues. He assured that the recognition would boost their morale and motivate them to continue delivering quality education to the students.
This initiative highlights the importance of appreciating teachers and the impact their dedication has on the future of education in the region.
