Managing Director of Ecobank Development Corporation (EDC) Investments Limited, Paul Kofi Mante, has said that choices are inevitable in the journey of life.
According to him, aside from the gift of life given by God, all other things are guided by choices.
During Asempa FM Ekosii Sen’s “Beginning the Year Right” series, Mr. Mante indicated that some people tend to underrate the power of choices.
He emphasized that the choices in life always have dire consequences, stating that life and success cannot be left to chance.
“Life cannot be a vacuum, and when you decide not to make a choice, something will happen, and you may not be pleased with it. Life is full of choices, but none says ‘none of the above.’ Failing to choose presents something you may not want,” he explained.
Citing Biblical inspiration from Deuteronomy 30:19, Mr. Mante noted that the power of choice is the greatest gift for humanity and it is wise for people to take advantage of it.
He highlighted three key reasons to make choices, including:
- Choices determine destinies.
- Our choices affect others.
- Choices have long-term consequences.
