On Day 2 of Asempa FM Ekosii Sen “BeginningTheYearRightSeries” 2024, the Chief Executive Officer of Hearts & Habits Foundation, Amos Kevin-Annan touched on love, lessons and legacies.

The relationship expert and life coach outlined the differences between like, love and lust.

According to him, these are three words that confuse most people, especially the youth and sometimes lead people into difficult situations in relationships.

He explained love to mean an invitation to labour because it is not a rosy path but a journey that needs to be worked on.

On legacies, Mr Kevin-Annan stressed it is important for people to be careful of their actions as it can have generational implications.

To buttress his point, he drew inspiration from the Bible, citing the story of Abraham where he lied about Sarah being his sister.

This he noted continued in his family line with Jacob lying to his father Isaac to steal his brother, Esau’s birthright and other events.

Below are a few highlights from the interview show host, OB had with Mr Kevin-Annan:

  1. Anybody who will maltreat, abuse, violate you, doesn’t love you; that is cruelty.
  2. We should be wary of little foxes; they come when your vineyard is blossoming to disturb and destroy relationships and marriages.
  3. In relationships, the little things are the big things; you don’t need to ignore and escalate them.
  4. Do not find love if you have not found your life.
  5. Your life dreams, pursuit, vision and ambition are what will support your love life.
  6. Your love life can compromise your ability to find life.
  7. Love is not lunacy; it is a decision and selfless.
  8. Love leaves memories.
