Be patient with us; power supply will stabilize soon – Energy Minister to Ghanaians

-

Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor has urged Ghanaians to remain patient as the government works to resolve the country’s power challenges.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen on Thursday, February 20, he assured the public that measures are in place to address the persistent issues in the energy sector.

Mr. Jinapor noted that the government inherited a fragile energy sector, contributing to the current erratic power supply. However, he emphasized ongoing efforts to implement long-term solutions for stability.

“We inherited a very weak energy sector. Ghanaians should bear with us as we work to fix the problems permanently,” he said.

He assured citizens that the ongoing power disruptions would soon be resolved.

“The current erratic supply situation should be stable in two weeks’ time,” he added, expressing confidence in the government’s intervention strategies.

The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the energy sector to prevent future challenges and called on the public to remain patient as authorities work towards a sustainable and reliable power supply.
