Bawumia’s candidacy has disarmed the NDC – Kwabena Agyapong [Watch]

-

A senior campaign aide for the Bawumia for President campaign, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, has said the election of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer has significantly weakened the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Mr. Agyapong noted that Bawumia’s candidacy has made it increasingly challenging for the NDC to criticize him.

He lashed the NDC for engaging in propaganda and focusing on negative aspects.

“The election of Bawumia has really disarmed the NDC. The campaign is becoming extremely difficult for them,” he stated.

Mr. Agyapong said the NPP values hard work and that Bawumia has been instrumental in advancing digitalization in Ghana.

The former NPP General Secretary also disclosed Bawumia’s vision for the country.

“Bawumia has a vision and is committed to transforming Ghana.”

He pointed out Bawumia’s achievements, such as promoting mobile money interoperability, and asserted that Bawumia is prepared to lead and bring significant change.

“If Bawumia says he will do things differently, then he can do it,” Mr. Agyapong added.

He therefore concluded that the focus should be on the country’s transformation, emphasizing that Bawumia’s readiness to serve and his current efforts on the campaign trail demonstrate his commitment.

“There are too much wastage in Ghana that need to end, and we are ready to end them,” he said.
